Dickert Hits A Triple in the Primary

The race for Mayor of Racine has been interesting so far, mostly because no one has been quite sure what the temperature of voters is going to be. The primary is the first hurdle and common wisdom was the vote total for the top two candidates would be somewhat close. Well, common wisdom was wrong again.

The incumbent Mayor, John Dickert, not only scored a decisive win but more than tripled the vote count against runner-up, Eric Marcus. Both will go to the general election in April.

Marcus has a lot of work to do over the next seven weeks if he has any hope of catching up to Dickert's lead.
