State Assembly Democrats have offered over 200 amendments to the budget repair bill as a way to keep debate going. Of course this is a ploy but it should be mentioned that they are real amendments to a bill that is over 140 pages. Republicans have sat mostly mute and voted as a block to table (kill) every amendment so far.
So a very astute question a bright young thing has posed is this: In 144 pages, is there not one single thing that would make this bill better? Is it so very perfect that NOTHING Democrats could propose would enhance it's perfection?
