Love That Dirty Water

Lost in the union busting uproar in Wisconsin has been a measure introduced in both the Senate and Assembly to repeal a Department of Natural Resources rule which requires municipalities to disinfect drinking water.

It's ironic because when teabaggers complain about how the government doesn't work and consistently overreaches, liberals use the example of clean water and untainted food as a couple of ways government agencies help keep us all safe.

No longer in Wisconsin! We're broke and disinfecting water costs taxpayers money. Bill sponsor Rep. Erik Severson R-Osceola, argues that there is no problem if the people aren’t complaining “When people in an area are not complaining about the drinking water, the water is good.”
