Journal Times Phones In Editorial From Newsmax

It's a busy weekend. Who can blame Steve Lovejoy for cutting a few corners to fill some editorial space? Taking his cues direct from reliable and consistently factual NewsMax and Fox News, Steve got to cutting the grass a little earlier by cutting and pasting talking points from Sarah Palin and John Boehner regarding "corrupt" Obamacare waivers.

Killjoy makes the claim that states are "Fleeing Obamacare".

Illustration: the "rats" are leaving the health care ship. He goes on to describe waivers for House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi's district and Senate Leader, Harry Reid's State of Nevada. Guess those must be the "rats". Classy.

Buzzkill then lays out an interesting conspiracy of how the waivers are kept secret and so no one really knows what the waivers were based on...no one who doesn't understand Google.

There is actually quite a lot of information about these and other waivers. As for the sinking ship...yes a whopping 2% of businesses have applied and most were granted. Buzzkill withholds that the waivers are for single provisions and adjustments in the healthcare law and not flatout exemption of healthcare. A detail that's kind of important even for the Journal Times ilk.

Even Fox News has reported that the waiver conspiracy spin is just that...spin.

Lovejoy's stilted and misinformed style is again a disservice to the folks who actually think they are getting "news" from the Journal Times. The Siren in particular dislikes the "rats" hyperbole. Childish. Unprofessional.
