Road Construction Kings Harvest Dividends For Campaign Investments

On Friday, the Siren was casually following the proceedings of the JFC when an interesting motion popped up that prohibited local governments from road work jobs that cost more than $100k. Jobs exceeding that amount would be required to be contracted to private road construction companies.

It must have been somebody's birthday in the private road construction business.

Luckily, the Siren was not the only creature to say "huh?" when the motion was made. State bloggers have been pointing out the stunning shut-out of local workers for a couple of days. Read more here and here.

We all know the reason for this bonus don't we? The roadbuilding industry was one of the top contributors to the Walker campaign and this is just their way of saying thank you.
