Good News On Jobs...Sort Of

While Madison fiddles around delaying unemployment benefits for 40,000 Wisconsin workers, Scooter did a victory lap around Milwaukee yesterday about the addition of 12,900 jobs in Wisconsin for June.

Please don't misunderstand the Siren, this is a bit of needed relief, but even the college drop had to admit these are summer jobs which are largely temporary and low paying. He then tried to make a case that tourism (which accounts for half of the increase) is a year round thang in Wisconsin. Wishful thinking come the fall when the numbers drop off.

A sneaky omission about these number which you may have missed: These were 12,900 jobs added - not created. An important distinction if your campaign promise was to "create 250,000 jobs" not fill 250,000 jobs already there.
