Walker Buddies Make Bank
Remember William Gardner? He's the CEO of Wisconsin and Southern Railroad, he is a bit more well known for being charged with illegally funneling more than $60,000 in campaign contributions to Republicans. About $50,000 of those dollars went to Scott Walker. Awkward.
Never mind that the civil forfeiture was the largest in state history, Gardner was just an enthusiastic supporter.
So it should come as no surprise this week Wisconsin and Southern Railroad received a $6.9 million grant from the state. That's nice for them.
Even better, Wisconsin and Southern's lobbyist, Ken Lucht was one of three people granted immunity in the John Doe investigation. He was the guy who seemed to know the $5000 Gardner gave him to contribute to Walker was probably not legal and gave it back.
Coincidence? Yeah right.
