declined to take up the Voter ID court challenges yesterday, saying they should run their course at the appellate level first.
The injunctions imposed on the new and unconstitutional law will stand for the time being. Observers say the lawsuits could take up to a year to conclude - meaning it is unlikely ID's will be required for the recall elections.
It could also mean Voter ID might be out for the Presidential election in November.
This represents a mighty blow to the state GOP who said they wrote the law to protect against non-existent fraud - but really hoped to shave off enough votes to prevail in up-coming elections.
