Wanna Do Away With Medicare? Call Tommy!

When Republicans talk about Medicare and Social Security they like to use words like "protect" and "strengthen" to describe their plans for these very popular programs. They do this because grandma and grandpa don't feel quite as comfortable with words like "privatize" and "voucher."

Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney are very careful to use positive and reassuring words - because if they used words that actually described their plans - no one would vote for them.

But not Tommy Thompson, nope no nicey-nice words for him.

Back in May when Tommy was slugging it out in a four-way race for Senate, Tommy said a whole bunch of crap that made him look tough to the prized teabilly crowd who happened to think he was a pussy. No one knew back in May that Paul Ryan would be the VP candidate and Medicare and Social Security would once again take center stage in the presidential campaign and for down ticket candidates.

Well, a certain videotape from May has surfaced of Tommy talking about Medicare in front of a friendly teabilly crowd. Such a friendly crowd that good old Tommy forgot to use the Republican code words for talking about about Medicare:
"[W]ho better than me, who’s already finished one of the entitlement programs, to come up with programs to do away with Medicaid and Medicare?"
So, Tommy was that a rhetorical question? Do away with Medicaid and Medicare? Geesh, grandma and grandpa didn't have that in mind. Here's the video:

Expect Tammy Baldwin to play this video every single day until November 6th.
